It creeps in as constant tiredness, irritability, and a feeling that you are running on empty — even after a full night’s sleep. The good news is that one of the most effective antidotes is also one of the simplest: meditation.

Why the modern mind gets overloaded

Your brain is built to wander. Left unmanaged, it spends most of the day in the “default mode network” — replaying the past, rehearsing the future, and keeping your stress hormones gently elevated. Meditation trains you to notice when your mind has drifted and bring it back to the present. Over time, that single skill lowers your baseline stress level.

The 10-minute reset

You do not need a cushion or a silent room. Try this at your desk:

Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and take three slow breaths.

Set a timer for 10 minutes.

Follow your breath — in, and out. When your mind wanders (it will), simply label it “thinking” and return to the breath.

End by noticing how your body feels before opening your eyes.

Ten minutes a day, five days a week, is enough to see a difference in sleep, patience, and focus within three to four weeks.

Deepen your practice

Join our guided meditation sessions — held daily at the studio, and perfect for beginners.

    See the schedule

The science of the 10-minute reset, and a simple breath practice you can do between meetings.

[4

post-111","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-meditation
["GET
